INTERNAL NOTICE 10:2018 – WATER TARIFF INCREASE
JULY 2018 AND OCTOBER 2018
Nelson Mandela Bay and Kouga Local Authority increased the water supply tariffs with the approval of their budgets effectively w.e.f July 2018.
The Kouga Municipality tariff in July 2018 increased with the water shortage and charges changed from the normal water supply situation of R11.32 inclusive to the emergency scale of R14.84 inclusive for the first 12KI per month and thereafter to a rate of R37.45 inclusive per
Kl —- See Kouga Budget water tariff Page 75 — Part C – Scale A. Copy herewith attached,
annexure 1 & 2 for easy reference. The annual Kouga tariffs increased by 12{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} on average comparing like with like.
The Board of directors have increased the current Gamhoa rate of R12.58 per Ki water as follows:-
From July 2018 to the same tariff as in Kouga to R14.84 per Ki with no punitive extra charge
for usage over 12KI per household. Also no basic minimum charge to Gamhoa households. ~~
From October 2018 — The water tariff stays at R14.84 for the first 12 KI per month per household and thereafter increases to R19.84 per KI for the 13” plus KI per month per household.
Again no basic minimum charge to Gamhoa households.
It is unfortunate that the tariffs must increase, however considering the tariffs charge by Jeffreys Bay,
The tariffs approved by the Board of Directors are far lower than theirs.
We thank you for your kind understanding.
Kind regards,
GAMHOA — Management 10-09-2018

We have recently changed the refuse management at the Gamtoos Tip Site:
With effect from December 2017 we have closed our domestic refuse tip site in order to be more Environmentally Friendly, by contributing to a greener environment and complying with the National Environmental Waste Management Act 59/2008
The procedure is as follows:
- As from December 2017 Gamtoos will only be using Black Refuse bags for all our domestic house hold refuse.
- Domestic waste collected is transported to the registered Local Authority Landfill site in Humansdorp.
- Recycling of all domestic waste is done at the tip site and is controlled by DEAT.
- The collection times and days remain unchanged – every Monday or should the Monday be a PH collection will be the next working day.

5:2016 WATER TARIFF
INTERNAL NOTICE 5:2016 – WATER TARIFF INCREASE
Kouga Local Municipality has increased the water tariff with a whopping 17.12{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618}.
During the initial tariff increase announcement received from Kouga there was a 0{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} increase to the supply of water to our development. This document was also published on the Kouga website.
In the meantime Kouga has charged GAMHOA an increased tariff with effect from 1st July 2015. Obviously, we queried this with Kouga and have only received their feedback now. Kouga originally made a mistake and published the incorrect water tariffs on their website. The correct water tariff is now available thereon.
The cost of water to the Resort is now R5.27 per KL (was R4.50 which is a 17{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} increase)
VAT 0.74
R6.01
Add 15{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} surcharge R0.90
Total R6.91 per KL (was R5.91 which is a 17{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} increase)
The MOI stipulates that GAMHOA may charge the water tariff charged at Summerstrand + 25{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} maximum.
The current water tariff for Summerstrand = R10.60 per KL. Also an availability charge of R34.92 up to 24KL or R1.46 per KL is debited. Thus their cost is now R12.06 (10.60 + R1.46) plus VAT of 1.69c = R13.75 per KL. Therefore the Summerstrand tariff plus 25{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} = R17.19 per KL. The Management did their calculations and decided to charge out water at R10.59 per KL from 1-1-2016. The current price is R9.05 per KL. This is a 17{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} increase over the 18 months or 11.33{1d8b0df419dd4f7166846c1b89959ac2f8ffe459dee5624497ee408111d9b618} per annum.

2:2013 SECURITY ACCESS CONTROL
Dear Resident and Home Owner.
The current increase in crime at our resort is of great concern for all of us.
We must link hands and work together as a team with each other and the SAPD to enable the authorities to solve these unwanted events.
In order to manage the way forward and put a stop to this GMHOA and the Rate Payers are arranging for a Residents meeting at the Sales Office on 27 February 2013 at 18:00.
Please attend and join in the solution.
Unfortunately, the SAPD due to other commitments can only attend a meeting on the 7″ March 2013.
After discussions with the Exco members and Rate Payers a decision was made to have the meeting without the SAPD at this stage.
Matters to be discussed include:
- Distribution of black bags.
- Information sharing to GG
- Inform GG if away for longer than two days.
- Tailgating and entrance gates
- Intercom system
- Security to man the entrance gates
- ID Tags workers and access control
- Neighbourhood watch
- CCTV Cameras
- Own Security to protect our own property – Insurance locking of doors closing of windows etc.
Should any resident want to discuss any other security matters please forward topics to the GAMHOA office

2 INTERNAL NOTICES
1:2013 SECURITY ACCESS CONTROL
Dear Resident
Following the recent increase in cases of theft and break-ins in our resort and a call for security improvements, we all will have to step up our awareness regarding the security situation. Please assist in the manner set out below:
Monitoring of the gates
We will implement the monitoring and control of the entrance gates for loiterers and labourers without ID tags on a regular basis. If labourers do not have ID tags, the manager on duty must find out who they work for. A letter of warning must be issued to the homeowner and the builder. On a recurrence and transgression of the rules, the homeowner faces a fine of R500-00.
The pedestrian gate code will be changed monthly and a bulk SMS with the new code to be sent to homeowners. These codes are for residents use only. Piease refrain from making the code available to non-residents. Workers must be fetched and dropped at the entrance gates and Id tags should be kept by the resident and reissued whenever the person comes to work again. Workers and domestics who are seen entering the keypad gate code to gain access will be questioned, and employers who have supplied the code face a fine of R500-00.
Domestic and other workers
Domestic servants or other workers shall not be permitted to reside or overnight in a dwelling or in or on common property of the development. This, unless they are given proper and adequate accommodation on the premises and permission from the architectural committee and the board has been obtained. All workers entering and exiting the resort are to wear ID discs, obtainable by their employer, from Resort Manager.
Employers must fetch and drop their workers at the entrance gates and collect the ID disks every day and reissued whenever the person comes to work again.
Vehicle Access Remote / Cell phone control
The Management also calls on all Residents after entering or exiting at the gates, to stop and wait for the gate to close behind your vehicle to prevent any tailgating of unwanted vehicles and or pedestrians to enter our resort.
When opening the gates either with the remote or cell phone please do so when the gate is within your eyesight to ensure that no other vehicle or pedestrian enters the resort.
Please convey this message to your visitors and encourage them to participate when opening the gate with your cell phone.
Kind regards
GMHOA Management
