INTERNAL NOTICE 2018 – DOMESTIC REFUSE MANAGEMENT

GAMHOA MANAGEMENT WANTS TO THANK ALL RESIDENTS WHO DID PARTICIPATE IN THE RECYCLING PROGRAM BY SEGREGATING THEIR WASTE IN ORDER TO MAKE A POSITIVE CONTRIBUTION TOWARDS A GREEN ENVIRONMENT.

We have recently changed the refuse management at the Gamtoos Tip Site:

With effect from December 2017 we have closed our domestic refuse tip site in order to be more Environmentally Friendly, by contributing to a greener environment and complying with the National Environmental Waste Management Act 59/2008

The procedure is as follows:

• As from December 2017 Gamtoos will only be using Black Refuse bags for all our domestic house hold refuse.      
• Domestic waste collected is transported to the registered Local Authority Landfill site in Humansdorp.
• Recycling of all domestic waste is done at the tip site and is controlled by DEAT.
• The collection times and days remain unchanged – every Monday or should the Monday be a PH collection will be the next working day.
